- Day 1 - We leave the US (or other country of departure) in the early morning and arrive in Lima in the late evening. Since we are getting in just before midnight, we will stay at the airport and take the first flight out in the morning (usually 5:30 am) to Cusco
- Day 2 - Fly to Cusco in the early morning and ride the shuttle to San Agustin International Hotel. This day we have the option to either stay in Cusco to acclimatize and shop (including a guided tour of the Shaman's market) or take a trip high in the Andes to a weavers village called Chawaytiri. It is recommended that if you are planning on taking the trip to Chawaytiri, that you either arrive a day early to get accustomed to the altitude or have experience with dealing with the altitude (see Medical Information and Cautions at left) see pictures...
Day 3 - In the morning we are picked up by our guide, Adriel and head to our first destination, the sacred Apu (mountain) of Pachatusan where we will have a short ceremony and blessing of our mesas and sacred items by the priest of the chapel. Then we will move on to the ruins at Pisaq where we will do ceremony connecting with the ancestors of the huaca (sacred site) and hike among the ruins receiving instruction from Adriel and one of the paqos (medicine people). We will arrive at the San Agustin Hotel in the evening for dinner and sleeping. Coca Leaf readings and private healing session will be available later in the evening see pictures...
- Day 4 - We leave in the morning for the huaca of Moray where we will do ceremony connecting with Pachamama (mother earth) and the sacred feminine with Doña Bernardina. We may also prepare a despacho (sacred offering) to be burned later in the afternoon or evening. Then back to the San Agustin Hotel for dinner and Coca leaf readings/private healings in the evening see pictures...
- Day 5 - This day we are traveling to Chincheros to visit the huaca there and do ceremony with the paqos and shop for textiles unique to Chincheros. We may also prepare a despacho (sacred offering) to be burned later in the afternoon or evening. Then back to the San Agustin Hotel for dinner and Coca leaf readings/private healings in the evening see pictures...
- Day 6 - In the morning we travel to Cusco by bus to catch a morning flight back to Lima, then on to Iquitos where we will stay the night.
- Day 7 - Our guides Lino and Esteban, will meet us at the Hotel El Dorado in the morning for an adventurous trek around Iquitos to get outfitted for the jungle! We then take a bus to Nauta (see map) where we will have luch before boarding a small boat for the 3 hour boat ride to Wakani Lodge! - Day 8-12 - The schedule in the jungle is a bit more spontaneous! The activities will include many hikes in the jungle to learn about the medicine plants, trips to other villages to learn about and experience the local indian culture, pirhana fishing, caiman hunting, and the opportunity (optional) to participate in 4 sacred ayahuasca ceremonies and other plant ceremonies with Maestro Laulate and Don Ramon. - Day 13 - We will return to Iquitos to allow time to go to the famous Belen market and shop for medicinal plants, peruvian tobacco and other shamanic supplies. We will also take a boat trip to visit the Bora Indian tribe not far from Iquitos. see pictures...
- Day 14 - On our last day in Peru we will visit a couple local markets to shop for gifts and locally made handicrafts and then prepare for a late afternoon departure back to Lima, then on to the US (or other country) in the late evening.
